Planning my own funeral

I've decided to start working on planning my funeral. I had a look on the calender and have realised that technically speaking, i've got 6 more months. Now i know exactly how imprecise medicine is in terms of predicting death, but i feel ready now and i don't really want to leave it all to my family. I come up with a few 'rules' to help me design my fun-eral and i would like your ideas as well.

1. It is a 'fun' -eral not a funeral. People must try to laugh at least once during my… Continue

diagnosis and treatment

I was diagnosed with Stage IIIc, Grade 3 Ovarian Cancer in April 2008, turned 32 in May and had extensive abdominal surgery removing all non vital organs and tissue. Residue was left behind and in June I was also diagnosed with Breast Cancer. That same month I travelled to Italy to have a Laparoscopy and remove the residual left behind and other disease found in the abdomen. I am also being treated with Sodium Bicarbonate and have a tube inserted into the abdomen to self adminster the solution… Continue

Tzar and No Surrender

Dear all

I cant imagine the pain you all have, but as a good friend of Jason's who saw him and his fight for life. I want you all to keep fighting. Sometimes life seems hard, there are no buts. Just keep fighting and a positive mental attitude does help.

Any member of this site should make themselves… Continue

The new member to the family

When I had got home from a long day or what felt like a long day of school, I had no idea of what had happened during those 6 hours. I got in and my Mum and my Step-dad (who I call Mark) sat me down and said they had some very sad news. I could feel the sadness in the air, and then it hit me. It hit me like a punch in the gut. My Mum had felt a lump and had gone to see a doctor the next day. He then sent her to a special… Continue

About

No Surrender created this Ning Network.

WELCOME TO THE NO SURRENDER SOCIAL FAMILY

A MESSAGE FROM THE NO SURRENDER FOUNDER, JASON BOAS

The No Surrender Social Family is for cancer sufferers and family members directly affected by cancer.

Hi, you have arrived at No Surrender, a Journey we didn't want to make either.

But we know why you are here, for exactly the same reasons other members are here - you have cancer. You have become a member of that club that nobody wants to join.

Well let No Surrender be your Club House. Come in, and meet your fellow members. Feel free to chat, express your thoughts, ask questions and share experiences, and most importantly find friends and laugh and help create that all important positive attitude.

United we can fight the fight and together there will be NO SURRENDER.
